Community Behavioral Health Clinic

Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHCs) is a type of mental health facility that provides comprehensive, person-centered, and integrated behavioral health services to individuals with mental health and substance use disorders. They are designed to serve as the behavioral health equivalent of Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs). They must provide various services, including crisis services, outpatient mental health and substance use services, screening and assessment, case management, and peer support and counseling.

CCBHCs must collaborate with other community-based providers and community resources to provide a coordinated and integrated care system. They are certified by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) and receive Medicaid reimbursement. CCBHCs are part of a national initiative to improve access to high-quality, evidence-based behavioral health services and outcomes for individuals with mental health and substance use disorders.
