Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

A Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) is a mental health treatment program that provides intensive, structured treatment to individuals who require a higher level of care than traditional outpatient therapy but do not need 24-hour supervision in a hospital setting.

PHP typically involves daily group therapy sessions, individual therapy sessions, medication management, and other therapeutic interventions. It may include case management services, family therapy, and psychiatric consultations. PHP programs are often used as a step down from inpatient care or as an alternative to hospitalization for individuals who need intensive treatment. However, they can still live at home or in a structured residential setting.
